CLINICAL ASSOCIATE

I am a licensed clinical therapist registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I am working toward registration as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. I provide psychological services under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist. I offer treatment to adults and adolescents.

Let’s be real

Change can be both thrilling and intimidating, and I’m here to help you navigate that journey with support and honesty. My aim is to help you achieve your goals by creating a non-judgmental atmosphere in which you can feel comfortable being your true self. Building genuine relationships with my clients is at the heart of what I do. I will bring my passions and quirks into the room so you can feel welcome to do the same. You can count on me for support and honesty. I care about who you are, what you want, and the things that matter in your life.

Appreciating differences

My experience spans a wide range of mental health and behavioural challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment issues, and life transitions. I have a deep appreciation for neurodiversity and have a passion for helping individuals with ADHD or learning disabilities. I also enjoy helping post-secondary students manage the stress of school. Together, we’ll explore ways to better understand your strengths, develop self-advocacy skills, and create strategies for managing life’s challenges with greater ease.

How we do it

In my therapeutic work, I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). I am a lifelong learner who is committed to developing new skills to help to make your journey towards mental health a rewarding experience.

A little about me

I obtained my Master’s degree from the Adler Professional Graduate Program, where my thesis explored the experiences of students with learning disabilities in their transition to post-secondary education. My interest in student mental health began while I was studying business at Trent University. My passion for working with people grew as I engaged with students through various school-led programs. When I am not working, you will find me reading (100+ books a year) or knitting the sweaters that I wear.
