Our approach to quality mental health care

We wish to acknowledge that our work takes place on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples. We wish to recognize the long history of First Nations and Métis Peoples in Ontario, and show respect to them today.

Person-centred

People don’t fit into boxes and neither should their mental health care. We believe that you will thrive in an environment that is responsive and flexible to your unique needs and goals. We do this by fostering a compassionate therapeutic connection that is rooted in trust and collaboration. We are dedicated to helping you reach your goals.

Evidence-backed

We are life-long learners by nature and we regularly complete trainings in progressive assessment and treatment methods. We believe in providing psychological services that are evidence-backed and numbers driven. We do this by grounding our service delivery in recent research studies, tracking your progress in therapy, and measuring overall outcomes.

Trauma-informed

We believe that mental health care should be accessible to clients and families of all cultures, beliefs, and identities. That means tearing down the walls around mental health learning by providing trauma-informed and culturally sensitive assessment and treatment that values each individual’s unique story.

Safe space

We value the inclusion of all genders and sexual orientations. We aim to provide an identity-affirming environment where individuals who identify as gender and sexual minorities or with the 2S-LGBTQIAP+ community are supported and respected.

“What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation.”
